Introduction

Mechanical Engineering is one of the most demanding branch in Engineering & encompasses the design, production & use of machines & tools. The demand of mechanical engineers in the fields of Automobiles, Chemical, Electronics, Marine, Steel, Cement, Fertilizer & Information technology industries is high & they play an important role in government sector. Mechanical engineers are responsible for all mechanical products & systems. They provide technical advice & consultation to others. They also manage group of people who may do the actual construction & installation of products & systems. Emerging technologies in Bio-technology, Material Science & Nanotechnology are bound to create new job opportunities for mechanical engineers. Additional opportunities for Mechanical Engineers will arise because a degree in Mechanical Engineering often can be applied in other engineering disciplines.

Mechanical Department, at SSPP, which was established in 2004, is known for excellent results with maximum students securing first class for last several years. Department has full fledged Laboratories of all the subjects which are functioning very well since from the date of inception of the department. Department is involved in organizing Faculty Training Programs for past few years in the demanding areas which are sponsored by MSBTE. Departmental projects prepared by our students are always innovative & are not only selected in various competitions but also have won prizes. Department has focus on Industrial Visits, Expert Lectures, Soft Skill Training which helps to produce a ‘complete student’ at the end. Most of the staff members have either completed their Post Graduation & some are in the stage of completion of the same. They all are dedicated to their work & are available all the time for the students & institution.

Objective:
